Pentagon Pushes for Modernized Battle Management System in the US Indo-Pacific Command

The Pentagon has long floated the concept of the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) and its critical role in modern warfare. However, there is still no estimate on when this may become a reality for the U.S. military. The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command is determined to expedite the CJADC2 system in the Indo-Pacific region first in light of potential conflict with China.

On May 1, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Christopher Grady, presided over a maritime security dialogue hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the U.S. Naval Institute, discussing the implementation of joint warfighting concepts and a range of other issues.

Adm. Grady said that the Pentagon is actively pushing to make the CJADC2 a reality for the Department of Defense, and the new system would significantly improve integrated capabilities for the U.S. military.
