Trump announces ‘permanent pause’ on migrants from ‘third world countries’ after Afghan kills National Guardswoman in DC

President Donald Trump announced he would be cracking down on immigration following the shooting which killed 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom of the West Virginia National Guard.

Her colleague, 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, is still in critical condition.

“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the US system to fully recover,” Trump wrote in social media post which began with wishing the nation a “very happy Thanksgiving”.

He also threatened to reverse “millions” of admissions granted under his predecessor Joe Biden, and would “remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States.”
