Trump disputes munitions shortage, vows jail for those who leaked 'treasonous statements'

Ahead of a Washington Post article alleging that Defense Secretary Pete Hegeseth clashed with President Donald Trump over a munitions shortage, Trump took to social media to deny the problem. 

Reports began circulating this week that the U.S. Army exhausted its stockpile of precision long-range missiles during the five months the U.S. has been at war with Iran.

During the meeting at Camp David this week, Trump demanded answers from Hegseth on why he'd been misled to believe that the munitions issue had been fixed, the Post reported, citing unnamed sources. The shortages were, according to the Post's sources, part of the reason Trump pulled back from launching additional assaults against Iran. 

Before the story was published, Trump posted on Truth Social that the "U.S. has massive amounts of 'munitions.'"
