On Monday morning, President-elect Donald Trump endorsed House Speaker Mike Johnson to continue in his role as House Speaker under the incoming 119th Congress. Recent social media buzz has seen others claiming that Johnson should be replaced. Johnson became speaker after Kevin McCarthy was ousted from the role by outgoing Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.
Trump posted on Truth Social, "We are the Party of COMMON SENSE, a primary reason that we WON, in a landslide, the magnificent and historic Presidential Election of 2024.
