A suspect is in custody after former President Donald Trump was targeted in an apparent assassination attempt Sunday. It’s the second attempt in just over two months. Trump’s campaign confirmed that shots were reported near his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the former president was golfing.
Authorities in Venezuela say six foreigners were arrested for allegedly plotting to kill President Maduro. The group includes three Americans, two Spaniards, and one Czech citizen, all detained on Saturday. Venezuela’s Interior minister announced the arrests on state television, claiming the CIA led the alleged plot. The U.S. State Department rejected that claim as “categorically false.”
