Aside from the obvious argument that there is already a protected process in place for federal government whistleblowers — and the portal Schumer made is literally hosted by one political party — critics saw Schumer’s effort for what it was: a recruitment ad for aspiring brownshirts who could help the Democrats complain harder about President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
